How to use Squarespace
This site is built in Squarespace 7.1 Classic Editor
Note: I am currently set as the “owner” of your site. I periodically transfer ownership of templates. If you need or want me to transfer ownership to you in a timely way, just send me an email at hello@melissarae.studio, and I will get to it as soon as I can during business hours. Thanks for using my template!

As of August 2022, Squarespace has two editing experiences. One is called Classic Editor and one is called Fluid Engine.
I originally built this template in Classic Editor (CE).
However, the default when you add new sections will be Fluid Engine.
Because of this, I recommend you duplicate existing sections in this template (more about that below).
The good news is:
1) You can still easily add new Classic Sections if you want to make one from scratch.
To add a new section with the classic editor:
→ Click Edit on the page, then click “Add Section”.
→ Scroll down to the bottom of the list of section types.
→ Click Add Blank + [Classic Editor].

Adding Content to Your Site
The link above is an index for everything related to adding content to your website.
I’ve pulled out the ones you are most likely to use and added them to this dropdown menu.

I recommend that you duplicate the home page and then move sections around or delete them, etc. That way you will get the special template styles and keep the look consistent.
But in case you have a reason to make a new page from scratch, need to add or remove pages, learn about not linked sections, footer navigation, etc.
-
Again, you might want to just duplicate existing sections and use those as a template.

But if you want to add new sections, here is an index of all the different section types in Squarespace and how to add them.

Note: You’ll want to follow advice on adding blocks in 7.1 Classic Editor (not Fluid Engine)
